Does every breathable fabric listing mean the same cloth?
No. Breathable fabric lets moisture vapour and air move more readily than a sealed cloth. It is a behaviour, not a fibre name. Ask how breathability is achieved: open weave, knit structure, membrane, or finish. Lab claims should be named if used.
Can you skip sampling breathable fabric?
Wear or steam a sample. A swatch in still air is a weak proof.
What should stay on the brief besides the keyword breathable fabric?
Construction, coatings, weight, and any published vapour test. Calling any cotton breathable regardless of coating, density, or lining.
