Linen is filed here as bast fibre. One reason to open it is breathability in warm climates. One reason to sample is sheer open weaves need opacity checks for dresses.
Judge breathable together with construction. More open structures can reduce opacity or wind resistance.
What not to assume
A breathable filter does not certify the cloth. shirts, dresses, trousers are common places buyers test linen, and some of those garments will reject this attribute.
