Crepe is filed here as textured woven. One reason to open it is matte textured face that hides minor creasing. One reason to sample is surface can mark under pressure.

What not to assume
A performance filter does not certify the cloth. dresses, blouses, trousers are common places buyers test crepe, and some of those garments will reject this attribute.
