Canvas is filed here as dense woven. One reason to open it is clear workwear and utility language. One reason to sample is finish and fibre change water behaviour.
Judge soft together with construction. Very soft cloths may crease more or lose crisp structure needed for formal shirts.
What not to assume
A soft filter does not certify the cloth. workwear, jackets, trousers are common places buyers test canvas, and some of those garments will reject this attribute.
