The brushed and felted group
Compare melton, boiled wool, flannel, moleskin, and coating cloth. Weight and surface differ by fabric. No universal coat GSM is published here.
Compare the named fabrics in this AW Textures edit for composition, construction, and documented Best For uses. Open any fabric for the full specification, then inquire with the quantity you need.
The AW Textures collection groups named FabStitch fabrics that share a material direction. It is not a single cloth and it is not a price list. The fabrics in this edit are Melton, Boiled Wool, Double-Face Wool, Brushed Flannel, Mohair Blend, Alpaca Blend, Casentino Wool, Cotton Moleskin, Peach-Skin, Suede-Effect Woven, Real Suede, Real Leather, Calf-Hair Finish.
Use the collection when the fibre or the character is the starting point. Use a Best For page when the garment is already fixed. Use the marketplace when you need to search across collections. An inquiry should still name one fabric URL.
Construction and weight change the cloth more than the collection title. Two fabrics in AW Textures can share a fibre and still differ in hand, cover, and GSM. Compare the published cells. Do not infer a measurement that a fabric page omits.

AW Textures does not add certificates, supplier counts, or inventory. If a fabric page leaves a field blank, the collection does not fill it in. Return to the marketplace only after you have a shortlist of named cloths. The inquiry names one fabric from Melton, Boiled Wool, Double-Face Wool, Brushed Flannel, Mohair Blend, Alpaca Blend, Casentino Wool, Cotton Moleskin, Peach-Skin, Suede-Effect Woven, Real Suede, Real Leather, Calf-Hair Finish, not the collection title.
Melton, boiled wool, double-face wool, and Casentino are dense, fulled, or faced wools used when a coat needs cover. Brushed flannel is softer and usually lighter in hand. Mohair and alpaca blends add hair and lustre. Moleskin and peach-skin are cotton or woven surfaces with a dry or sueded hand. They are not wool coatings. Real suede and leather in this collection are skins, not woven wool. Read the composition before you specify interlining or care.
A boiled wool and a brushed flannel can sit in the same seasonal edit and still be wrong for each other’s pattern. Use the published weight unit on that fabric page. If GSM is absent, do not invent a coat weight from the collection title.
