Marketplace education
These notes explain how to read a FabStitch marketplace result: composition, construction, and stated weight, in that order. They do not replace the catalog at /marketplace/. Open a note when you need the question explained, then search the published fabrics.

How to use this list
These notes explain how to read a FabStitch marketplace result: composition, construction, and stated weight, in that order. They do not replace the catalog at /marketplace/. Open a note when you need the question explained, then search the published fabrics.
Each title in Marketplace education is a separate search question. Start with How to source cotton for shirts only when that heading matches the brief you already have.
Open the note, then return to the marketplace to see published fabrics. A topic page is not a product, not a second catalog, and not a place to inquire.
Filtered marketplace URLs stay noindex. Share either https://fabstitch.net/marketplace/ or a specific fabric page.
What marketplace education is for
Marketplace education groups related marketplace questions so a buyer can pick one intent instead of mixing fibre, garment, and weight on the same search.
This directory currently lists 87 notes, including How to source cotton for shirts, How to source cotton for trousers, How to source cotton for coats, and others below.
If two titles look similar, keep the one that names the decision you still have to make. Then open a fabric page before you write a quantity.
How these notes relate to buying
FabStitch's commercial path is fabric → quantity → inquiry. Topic hubs explain the question that led you here; they do not replace the fabric page or invent a supplier directory.
After you pick a note, compare two published fabrics and inquire with metres. Do not paste a filter URL into an RFQ and expect it to behave like a product specification.
When a note and a collection hub cover the same fibre family, prefer the collection for browsing inventory and the note for clarifying the decision you still have to make.
Questions
- Do these pages replace the marketplace?
- No. They explain a search question. The commercial catalog remains /marketplace/.
