Selecting dresses fabric under 100 gsm
under 100 GSM is a planning band for dresses. It is not a score, and it is not evidence that a FabStitch fabric publishes that exact number.

How to use the band
Very light cloth. Opacity and lining come before fibre branding.
For dresses, the brief needs seam and finish behaviour for curves. A useful hand note is fluid or controlled drape.
What still matters more
Compare GSM only inside one construction. Crepes, chiffons, georgettes, soft cottons, linens and selected knits appear often — each answers a different dress architecture.
If the fabric page omits weight, leave the cell blank and ask in the inquiry.

Questions
- Does under 100 GSM mean better dresses?
- No. Heavier is not better. It is only heavier.
