over 400 GSM is a planning band for jackets. It is not a score, and it is not evidence that a FabStitch fabric publishes that exact number.
How to use the band
Dense cloth for outer or work layers. It is not a classic shirt weight.
For jackets, the brief needs enough body for shape. A useful hand note is structure.
What still matters more
Compare GSM only inside one construction. Suiting wools, denser cottons, technical shells and selected double-face cloths appear depending on the jacket type.
