Knit jersey is a construction decision. The fibre name does not tell you whether the cloth is stable or looped.
Start with construction
knit cloth is built from loops, so it usually moves more. Jersey can still be made the other way.
Jersey is filed here as knit construction family. One reason to open it is inherent stretch from knit structure. One reason to sample is fibre still matters for care and hand.
